Chris Stewart introduced Aaron as the community young citizen of the year. Aaron then proceeded to explain his involvement with the Scotts Head Surf Club and some of his dynamic achievements and activities, this being his first public appearance after gaining the award.

Aaron wishes to progress a career in Australian Film making.

Marcus spoke about life saving at Nambucca Heads as he helped 21 people in difficulty over the holiday season at the mouth of the Nambucca River.

The Year in Reflection

There are times in our Rotary year when, as we look to the future minor panic can set in, and we wonder about not doing anything. That there is little or nothing in the short term planning! At this time it is worthwhile to reflect on where we have been over the last twelve months and as we do so a long list of achievements miraculously materialises. RYDA Thank You Dinner

On Friday 16 November, the Rotary Clubs of Nambucca Heads and Macksville joined forces to conduct Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA), a program designed to increase young people's awareness of the responsibilities and privileges of driving a motor vehicle.

ShelterBox Providing Shelter and Dignity to People in Disaster Zones

The ShelterBox Trust is a registered UK charity that provides emergency aid for victims of natural and other disasters anywhere in the world.

Since operations began in January 2001, the Shelterbox Trust has helped an estimated 500,000 people and worked in more than 40 countries – responding to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, wars, volcanoes etc.

ShelterBox was set up by the Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard.
